BEST FOOT FORWARD PROGRAM (BFF)

PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD AS YOU PREPARE FOR UNIVERSITY

Over 3 days in February UQ College's Best Foot Forward (BFF) program will assist your successful transition to university.  

Limited places available

Dates: Monday 4, Tuesday 5,Wednesday 6 February 2019

Cost: $100

1 Session per day over 3 days

4 hour session per day

Times: 8.30 am– 12.30  /  or 1pm – 5pm

Resources provided.

The Sessions focus on:

• The Challenges to overcome and strategies tosucceed at university in your first year;

•Who I am and what personal skills do I needto be successful;

• How do I thrive in a different setting, withdifferent pressures in a university environment.

The BFF Program’s Goal is to raise your awareness of what to expect at university, how to manage yourself intransition, ways to thrive during your universityexperience and provide you with ways to make yourtransition successful.

Online - Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation

Do you require a prerequisite or the full qualification.  

This qualification is delivered online giving you the opportunity to work and study in your own time to meet the requirements for university entry.

Whether you are looking to gain entry to university via an alternate pathway, increase your Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) ranking, or seeking a specific prerequisite for entry into university, this qualification will equip you with life-long learning skills specific to tertiary education.

This qualification is recognised by The University of Queensland as a high-quality academic pathway. The Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation is recognised as a Year 12 alternative, you will be able to apply to the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) for a ranking on completion or alternatively, you may just complete a specialised unit to meet prerequisite requirements for university.

UPRMTH401 - Apply mathematical concepts to solve problems

UPRBIO401 – Investigate biological science problems

UPRCHE401 – Investigate chemical science problems

Start and Close of Study: Tuesday November 19, 2019 to Saturday December 14, 2019

Students attend Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm.  There are 4 Saturday tutorials available to students of which 3 are optional.

All course learning materials are supplied.

The units of competency above forms part of 10246NAT Certificate IV in University Preparation.    

Students who successfully complete the requirements of a unit will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by UQ College.

Results will be available to be used in applications for the January 2020 QTAC Offer Round.
